The Legend of Maxwell
Back in 2017 this imgur dude "voidhawk42" drops a single photo. His black and white tuxedo cat (real name Jess) on a "please do not bend" paper. The caption was "cat does not care for laws of man." Absolute legend behavior. One pic. Zero context. Pure chaos.
It ghosts for a few years until 2020 when it randomly blows up again on some chonky cat facebook group. From there it becomes that one repost that keeps hitting your feed on twitter and everywhere else. Still no name, still just a smug round boy ignoring human rules.
Then october 2022 hits and it ascends for real. Some steam guy named шизео кодзима throws a janky low poly 3d model into garrys mod workshop called "dingus." Couple days later another madlad turns it into "maxwell the carryable cat" so you can actually pick him up and run around with him. Half life 2 but i have a cat videos start dropping and the name maxwell is locked in forever.
Two weeks later blastycat posts the spinning gif and thats when the timeline breaks. Maxwell starts rotating in every edit possible. People slap songs on it left and right until weebls "stockmarket" track becomes THE anthem. Yeah the cat spins to a song literally called stockmarket. Poetry.
And now hes here. The round king has entered the chat for good. You know the one. You've seen the spin.
